IPTV Denies Iowans Solutions

Click through and vote for the question:

“Why is Narcisse not in the debates? Regardless of what your poll may say, he will make the debate worth listening to. If he’s not in, Iowans learn zero from your exercise.”

The so called Iowa Debate YouTube page...

There is no mistaking that the publicly funded Iowa Public Television is abdicating their charter in service to Iowans by excluding Narcisse from the so called debates.

The cover up that the status quo has no solutions is being perpetuated by IPTV’s actions.  All who support IPTV financially should be very concerned as to what your investment is perpetuating in Iowa.

Technologically, this YouTube page IPTV is part of with the Des Moines Register, is impressive.
You can comment on the page and you can add your own video questions. Check it out.

Narcisse Cover Story in Quad Cities Newspaper

Enlarging the Conversation: Why JonathanNarcisse Matters in the Iowa Gubernatorial Race

by Jeff Ignatius | RiverCitiesReader.com

Given the density of Jonathan Narcisse’s ideas and plans, he’s smart to dispense the easy-to-grasp metaphor or example.

River Cities Reader Cover 9/16/2010“Imagine you have a kid who hasn’t cleaned his room for six months,” Narcisse said in a phone interview last week. “And you can try to go in and you can try to clean the room. Or you can get some heavy-duty garbage bags and just go through that room and basically throw everything away, except the bed, the dresser, and a couple other things.”

The 47-year-old Narcisse, a former member of the Des Moines school board, is running an independent candidacy for Iowa governor, appearing on the ballot under The Iowa Party banner. And he wants to approach Iowa state government with some heavy-duty garbage bags in hand.

1st Debate? Sioux City Was a Brain Suck…

“The two candidates spent much of the hour long debate attacking each other, at times they barely answered the questions and took swings at each other instead.” – KCRG

“We’re going to have a brain suck.” – Governor Chester Culver

The Des Moines Register’s Kathie Obradovich posted this blog following the so called debate:

Gov debate: A brain suck might be more fun

Sioux City, Ia. — Gov. Chet Culver said during tonight’’s debate that instead of a brain drain in Iowa, “we’re going to have a brain suck.”

That sounds like a more pleasant experience than watching the one-hour governor’s candidate debate between the Democratic incumbent and Republican Terry Branstad.

The two candidates were at each other’s throats from the very first minute. They exchanged allegations of tax increases, mismanagement, prolific borrowing. Each accused the other of stretching the truth.

I live-tweeted tonight. You can follow me at Twitter.com/kobradovich. Also check out the Register’s coverage on Iowa Politics Insider.

Neither candidate escaped the mud bath. Branstad’s ugliest attack came during an exchange over the salmonella outbreak traced to an Iowa egg farm owned by Austin “Jack” DeCoster.

Sign The Petition to Include Jon In the Iowa Gubernatorial Debates

We, the undersigned eligible electors of the state of Iowa, hereby request the inclusion of

Jonathan Narcisse, an Independent candidate for governor with demonstrable statewide exposure and state-wide leadership credentials, in the 2010 Iowa gubernatorial debate series.

His inclusion will add substance and solution oriented discourse at a time when the contest for governor has deteriorated into negative advertising, name calling and personal attacks between Governors Culver and Branstad.

Joan Wade,

Dustin German,

Bruce Fisher,
Mr. Narcisse deserves the right to debate Culver/Branstad because he is a viable candidate bring forth fresh new ideas. Not the same ideas with a different face. If Iowans want a "lean mean fighting machine" image of our state, then Jonathan is our man.

xxxxxxxx,

xxxxxxxx,
The first debate proved that additional ones are pointless sans the participation of at least Mr. Narcisse.

Jeff Badger,
Mr. Narcisse is considered a "trouble-maker" simply because he asks the hard questions and is willing to expose fraud and ruffle feathers. If he is left out of further debates it will be because he doesn't play by the old school rules of politics. He is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant, stinking swamp of disingenuous rhetoric.

Dwight Niermeyer,

Steve Hoodjer,
Jonathan Narcisse (Iowa Party), Dr. Eric Cooper (Libertarian), and David Rosenfeld (Socialist Workers) should all be included in all debates. There should be one objective standard for inclusion, and that is ballot access. These 3 gentlemen would add real substance to the process.

dave de vries,

xxxxxxxx,
